Today we want to feature some important tips for planting and growing Caladiums.  Caladiums make great border plants and are perfect for hanging baskets and window boxes.  For starters, plant your bulbs once the ground temperature reaches 70 degrees.  If the ground is not 70 degrees, start your bulbs indoors. Now for more tips:

1. Take the center out of the bulb for a fuller plant.
2. Dark red/pink leafed Caladiums do better in the sun.
3. White leafed Caladiums do better in the shade.
4. Use bone meal instead of Nitrogen fertilizer.
